The short answer
pivihost.com — our public website that you're reading right now — sets no cookies at all. You can browse hosting, VPS and domain information, and read our legal documents, without any cookie being set. This is a technical fact you can check yourself in your browser's developer tools; we don't rely on cookies here.
panel.pivihost.com — our separate client area, where you log in, order services and manage your account — sets one cookie to keep you logged in, plus a cookie set by Google reCAPTCHA on login and order pages. Both are described below.

The WHMCS session cookie is strictly necessary: it's the only way a browser can stay logged into an account or keep items in a cart between page loads, which is the specific service you're asking for when you log in or start an order. Under current ICO guidance on cookies (PECR), cookies like this don't require consent — though we're still telling you about it here.
Google reCAPTCHA
We use Google reCAPTCHA on login and order forms in our client area to help stop automated abuse (fraudulent orders, credential-stuffing login attempts). When the reCAPTCHA widget loads, Google may set its own cookie and process technical signals (such as your IP address and browser information) to assess whether a request is likely to be automated.
Google's own current documentation describes Google as acting as a data processor for this purpose, and the site using reCAPTCHA (us) as the controller of that data. We treat this cookie as strictly necessary: the ICO's current guidance on storage and access technologies (finalised April 2026) lists "preventing or detecting fraud" and "authenticating the subscriber or user" among its own examples of purposes that fall within the strictly-necessary exception, and that's exactly what reCAPTCHA does here — nothing broader, and never for advertising or profiling. Managing cookies
Because our public website sets no cookies, there's nothing to manage here. For our client area, you can control or delete cookies through your browser's own settings at any time — bear in mind that blocking the WHMCS session cookie will prevent you from staying logged in or completing an order, since that's exactly what it's for.
Changes to this notice
If the cookies we or our client-area platform use ever change — for example, if we add analytics or a new third-party tool — we'll update this notice and its "Last updated" date below before that change goes live.
